Total yield and yield of high quality tobacco for 1949, 1950 and 1951 are shown in Tables 1 and 2. Each entry represents the total pounds per plot for three replications of treatment. 1949 RESULTS The analyses of variance for total yield and quality are given in Table 3. Yield and quality differences for irrigation rates of one-half inch and three-fourths inch per application were highly significant over no irrigation. However, there was no significant difference in yield or quality between the one-half and three-fourths inch rates of irrigation.
