Telone C-17: Injected via chisel prior to the application of
plastic. In addition a 3 year rotation scheme may be required,
using crops such as corn and beans.
a) For tomato production an additional herbicide, Tillam, will
be applied preplant incorporated prior to application of plastic.
The chemical can be worked into the soil using a disk, and
would be considered a separate operation.
b) Off-season management will be required. For light
population of nutsedge, maintain a weed free fallow period
using 3-4 sprays of roundup and 1 or more cultivations
(disking). If no nutsedge, 2-3 diskings with no spray may be
sufficient.
