APPENDIX G NEXT BEST ALTERNATIVES TO METHYL BROMIDE FOR FLORIDA FRUIT AND VEGETABLES Horticultural and commodity specialists assisted in identifying alternative production practices that could be used as a substitute to methyl bromide. The chemical and non-chemical alternatives which were evaluated are discussed in Section 3. The analysis for each alternative considered the impact they may have on production if used. After considering the alternatives as they may be used in each of the producing areas of Florida for each of the crops considered, the practices listed in the following tables were chosen as the best alternative to methyl bromide. Vorlex was not considered because of its voluntary removal from the market by the manufacturer.
