The soil should not be disturbed for 7 to 14 days, however, if soil conditions are wet and cool, a longer waiting period should be observed. Under optimum soil and weather conditions, allow one week of aeration for every 10 gallon of Telone C-17 applied per acre. Aeration is usually complete when no detectable odors of the chemical remain. To decrease the aeration period, cultivate the treated area, but do not work the soil from below the treated zone. If the soil is brought up from untreated areas, re-infestation of the soil will result. Additional information on application rates for Telone C-17 is given in Table C.6.
