Control of soilborne diseases includes Pythium, Rhizoctonia, Phytophthora, Pyrenochaeta, Sclerotinia, Sclerotium, and Fusarium and the clubroot organism Plasmodiophora. Weed control includes broomrape, lambsquater, grasses such as bermuda grass, annual blue grass, torpedo grass, and quackgrass. Terr-O-Gas is not as effective against hard seeded weeds such as morning glory or dodder. Insect control includes wireworms, cutworms, grubs, rootworms, ants, and garden symphylans (Florida Insect Control Guide, 1993). Chloropicrin Chlor-o-pic, containing 96.5% chloropicrin, may be used as a preplant fumigant in greenhouse beds, mushroom casing soil, potting soil, celery seedbeds, seedbeds (other) and seed flats. Chlor-o-pic may also be used for fumigation of certain raw agriculture commodities, space fumigation (not including raw agriculture commodities), vault and warehouse fumigation, seed corn dryers, and seed storage buildings that contain rats or mice (Chlor-o-pic specimen label).
