Florida Agricultural Experiment Stations Danger in Groves After Spraying The hazards involved in working a grove after spraying have not been fully ascertained. Until more information is available the following suggestions are made: Entering Grove after Spraying.-There is little, if any, danger in walking in or through a grove that has just been sprayed with parathion. Some danger does exist in handling contaminated foliage or fruit and it is recommended that people stay out of a grove at least four days after spraying. Cultivation or Irrigation.-This type of operation may be carried out seven days after spraying. Fig. 8.-Have the tank almost full of water and the agitator going. Slowly sift mixture onto the surface of the water. Do not hold up sack and pour. Always wear respirator, natural rubber gloves, hat and long sleeves.
