VALUE OF IMPROVED PERMANENT PASTURES In a grazing program pastures should be utilized so as to give a natural sequence of grazing crops to furnish nutritional pas- turage over the longest possible period each year to maintain growth or production of animals. Both permanent and tem- porary improved pastures and native ranges should supplement each other to accomplish these objectives satisfactorily.
