a burning bush; and he heard the
voice of his God eall to him, “ Moses !
Moses!” and he said “ Here am [!”
Then God, through his spirit, bade
him return to the land of Egypt, to
Pharaoh, to tell him ‘to,tet the chuil-
dren of Israel depart from his country,
and be no more slaves, for the Lord of
Heaven willed it so; and that, if His
will should be disregarded, He would
send plagues on the land, until that
will was done.

When Moses returned from the
Mount, he took leave of his father-in-
law, and set out, with his wife and
child, to Egypt; and told Pharaoh the
message of the Lord. But Pharaoh

headed not the voice of Moses, and:
