Oh list, ye maidens, one and all,
Take warning by:my luckless fall ;

And from this slow and limping tread.

Take warning from my gown all rent,
And from my locks in tangles blent ;
Take warning from these tearful eyes,
And from these sad repentant sighs.

Oh, hearken always to the rule ;
