THE BARN SWALLOW. ‘ue swift and busy Barn Swallow is well-known to all who reside in the country, and is a general favorite. The external portion of the nest is made of pellets of mud, having fine hay mixed with them, and rendered like a cement by the saliva of the little workmen; the lining is made of loosely arranged fea- thers.
