THE HARLEQUIN DUCK. Tus beautiful Duck is almost a con- stant resident in the far north. It is con- sidered a game superior in flavor to the common wild duck. The general color of the male is bluish-plumbous. which is varied by cresent-shaped lines and marks of other colors, giving the bird a very attractive appearance. The flight is high and swift; and it swims and dives with much skill and ease.
