THE OTTER. Tur Otter is found by the lakes and streams of the cold portions of Europe and America. The American Otter is about five feet in length, including the tail, which is eighteen inches. The color of the whole body, except the chin and throat, which are a dusky white is a glossy brown. The fur is very dense and fine, and is much esteemed. They live almost constantly in the water, are excel- lent swimmers, and feed almost entirely on fish.
