The young are spotted with white until
the middle of the first winter, when they
change to the same color as the most
aged. The horns of this Deer are often
large and full of branches, giving it the
appearance of being crowned. It is a
beautiful sight to behold a herd of them
feeding in their native woods, and play-
ing with each other among the bushes.
The young Deer are especially pleasing
to the view.
