Let her graze in the best pasture in the spring and summer; and during the chill | winter, let her have a warm house and plenty of hay. Above all, do not beat the useful beast. Most cows are mild- tempered, and if not worried and provoked are perfectly harmless. Cows have some- times very beautiful skins. We find them of nearly all colors and shades; but the red and white are generally preferred. Never look at the Cow without thinking of how much use she is to us.
