Tuese Stories of Jonas, having been
related to Rollo and Lucy together, are
intended both for boys and girls. It is
heped that, in all of them, the parent or
teacher, who may run his eye over the
book, will find a useful tendency. ‘The
aim of the writer has been to cultivate
habits of clear . discrimination, sound
reasoning, and correct judgment on the
common subjects of interest to childhood,
and to develop the gentle and amiable

feelings of the heart.
