commenced her toilet, i.e. her maid both com-
menced and finifhed it for her, for thofe who can
command the unlimited affiftance of fervants are
apt to be very idle in helping themfelves.

* Your Julia looks felf-fatisfied enough,” ob-
ferved Ianthe, “but I do not fee that this is more
like real happinefs than my Aurora’s face before
