Prunus sp. are P. acericola and P. psidii reported as occurring on the same host. Pulvinaria ur- bicola and P. psidii are frequently reported from the same hosts, but they usually occupy different habitats on the plant. Pulvinaria psidii occurs on leaves and small young stems, whereas P. ur- bicola usually occurs on the stems at ground level. The combination of stout, fringed marginal setae, multilocular pores with 10 loculi, numerous dorsal tubular ducts, and usu- ally a sclerotized plate enclosing the spiracles will differentiate P. psidii from other members of the genus in Florida.
