ADMINISTRATIVE, REPORT 9 EXPENDITURES OF THE GEOLOGICAL SURVEY FROM JANUARY 1, 1922, TO JULY 1, 1923 The following itemized list shows the expenditures of the Survey from January 1, 1922, to July 1, 1923. The total annual appropriation during this period was $7,500. With the exception of the salary of the State Geologist, which amount is fixed by statute, all accounts are approved by the Governor and are paid only by warrant drawn upon the State Treasurer by the Comptroller, no part of the fund being handled direct by the State Geologist. All original bills and itemized expense accounts are on file in the office of the Comptroller, duplicate copies being retained in the office of the State Geologist.
