To amend Act No. 5332 to increase the membership of the Commission on Status and
Federal Relations and for other purposes related thereto

BE IT ENACTED by the Legislature of the Virgin Islands:

 SECTION 1. Act No. 5332 (Bill No. 17-0157), enacted March 7, 1988, is
amended in the following instances:
 (a) in Section 2(a) delete the terms "fifteen (15)" and "seven (7)" and insert in
lieu thereof "seventeen (17)" and "eight(8)", respectively.

 (b) In Section 2(d) after the word "education" insert the following "including the
designation of corresponding symbols for each political status and federal relations
preference".

 (c) In Section 3(a) delete the date "November 4, 1989" wherever it appears and
insert in lieu thereof "November 14, 1989" and delete the date "November 25, 1989"
and insert in lieu thereof "November 28, 1989".

 (d) In Section 3(b) after the word "options" insert "and corresponding symbols".

 (e) In Section 3(c) In the first sentence thereof after the word "style" insert "and
each political status or federal relations option may also be identified by its
corresponding symbol".

 Thus passed by the Legislature of the Virgin Islands on March 7, 1989.
