For two decades the Society has provided important leadership in the development of agriculture in the Caribbean. There have been many changes in this area in the past twenty years. It is appropriate to note that the challenges of change have been met by the agricultural leadership of the area. The progress which has been made is the result of a team effort. The U.S. Department of Agriculture's Science and Education Agencies, the Caribbean Association of Universities, the Food Crops Society and the farmers have worked together for the common goals of improving agriculture.
