On July 16, 1914, all Panama Canal Tracks were turned over to this Company for maintenance with the following exceptions: Construction tracks at Balboa Terminal, Construction tracks on Balboa Dumps and a few miscellaneous construction tracks in use by Construction Division. Panama Canal tracks on Balboa Dump were turned over to this Com- pany for maintenance on July 16, 1914, and allother tracks on June 16, 1915. Eleven thousand seven hundred and seventy cubic yards of a bal- | _ last were used during the year between Colon and Panama. The second main line of the Panama Rail Road between Bas Obispo and Summit Cabin (Culebra) was taken up and all rail, ties and fastenings -- used in track changes between Balboa Station and Diablo for other repair purposes. The following Panama Canal tracks were removed by the forces of the Panama Rail Road during the fiscal year and all material recovered shipped to the obsolete store house at Mt. Hope for disposition: All tracks between Culebra and Bridge No. 52, with the exception of two tracks leading to Lirio Mills and two short tracks to the old Empire shops _ yard; Bas Obispo diversion track taken up to a point within one thousand feet: of Obispo Junction; tracks between Empire Suspension Bridge and = Gold Hill; old Panama Rail Road Main Line between Gatun and Mindi, with exception of Mindi Yard and track to Mindi Dock; track leading to Mindi Powder magazine; track to old dump six north of Gamboa, tracks on east side of main line north of Gamboa; track number seven, Balboa - Dumps; east track from Fort Amador to Naos Island; several short tracks on Balboa Dumps, including track to new radio station. 3 The following spur tracks were built during the year; spur tracks lead- ing to transmission line sub-stations at Cristobal, Gatun and Miraflores; — spur track for Building Division at Margarita; spur track to medical store- _ house at Ancon; spur track at Ancon Silver Market, spur track and short siding at Balboa Commissary; two tracks leading to Quartermaster’s storehouse at Balboa Heights; four tracks to motor car house at Balboa ~ Heights; double track continued from south leg of Balboa Wye to Panama, _a distance of one thousand four hundred and fifty feet; spur track to oil _ house at Balboa; house track to Balboa Heights station, four new coach = tracks in Panama Yard, a connection from Balboa Heights Station to
