REPORT OF THE PANAMA RAILROAD COMPANY. 9 OTHER OPERATING REVENUE. | The revenue from these accounts amounted to $324, 987.93 fol the year, an increase of $3,424.45, or 1.06 per cent, as compared with | the previous year. STEAMSHIP LINE. REGULAR LINE. The total operating revenues of the company’s regular line were $1,946,933.92, an increase of $86,823.06, or 4.67 per cent, as com- pared with the 12 months ended June 30, 1911. Freight traffic increased 20,815 tons, or 3.87 per cent, and the revenue therefrom shows an increase of $116,241.02, or 9.26 per cent. _ Passengers show a decrease of 1,560 in the number carried, or 11.02 per cent, and a decrease in revenue of $16,158.99, or 4.75 per cent. Revenue from transportation of mails shows a decrease of $8,380.57, . Or 3.91 per cent. Of the total tonnage transported, 89, 603 tons were carried by the company’s steamers and 469,651 tons by chartered steamers. In the 12 months ending June 30, 1911, the former carried 99,559 tons and the latter 438,880 tons. PHILADELPHIA SERVICE. The direct. Philadelphia-Colon service, inaugurated July, 1911, and withdrawn in January, 1912, showed operating revenue of $49,365.16, as against operating expenses of $119,422.45, a deficit of $70,057. 29. The total tonnage carried by this line amounted to 24 349 tons. OPERATING EXPENSES.
