HOTELS AND, BACHELOR, QUARTERS.

This department is charged with ‘the operation of bachelor quarters
and the Washington Hotel. During the year a new building was
erected for silver employees at Gatun, and the quarters at Panama
rearranged for the comfort of employees. The Washington Hotel
was also opened to transient public. |

GENERAL OFFICE,

_ On November 27 the offices of general manager and superintendent
were abolished and the operation of the property on the Isthmus
placed in charge of a general superintendent.
