SCHEDULE A FORM OF DEFINITIVE BOND No. ......... ...- $ 1,000 REPUBLIC OF CUBA. SERIAL 512% GOLD BOND Dated July 1, 1927. Due July 1, 19. Series.............. The Republic of Cuba (hereinafter termed the Republic) for value received promises to pay to the bearer on the first day of July, 19- the principal sum of one thousand dollars, and to pay interest on such principal sum from the date hereof at the rate of five and one-half percent per annum, semi-annually on the first day of January and the first day of July in each year until such principal sum shall have been paid, but only upon presentation and surrender of the coupons for such interest hereto attached, as severally they mature. Such principal sum and interest instalments, when due respectively, will be paid in the Borough of Manhattan, City of New York, State of Now York, United States of America, at the office therein of J. P. Morgan and Co. or, at the option of the bearer in the city of Havana, Republic of Cuba, at the office therein of the National City Bank of New York, in gold coin of the United States of America of the standard of weight and finenses existing on July 1, 1927. This bond, as to both principal sum and interest, shall be forever free from every kind of Cuban taxation (whether of the State, the Provinces or the Municipalities) now existing of which may hereafter exist. This bond is one of the serial 51%2, percent gold bonds of the Republic of Cuba dated July 1, 1927 of the series designated above in the title hereof.
