 SUBJECT: Termination of Stay.

 By reason of the fact that the Virginia Art Studios, .Inc.,
 Lynchburg, Virginia, protested the terms of the Ladies1 2:.9't-;. Code
 within ten days after it was app-roved, this concern was utor.tic-ly
 granted a stay from its provisions in accordr.nce with the B::c:c'tive
 Order of July 15, 1933.

 Hearing was held in this office at which time :.arlie S. F-ihr,
 President and Treasurer, was given the opportunity to prosent all evi-
 dence to substantiate her claim for further stay from thle provisions
 of the Ladiest Handbag Code. At the hearing the I:.,..!tr.'l Advisory
 Board was represented by r.Ir. T. 7. Taylor, the LIcGr A'dvisory .o..rd
 by Miss Schneiderman, the Code Directors I..r. Mittenthal -nd :1r.
 Berkowitz,'Assistant Deputy Adinfistrator L-jih E. Ore -nd Devid
 Barr, and myself. The relevant facts perta.ining to t':.o c-se are
 attached.

 After carefully reviewing .ll the facts, I r:co.ei-cnd the stay be
 terminated forthwith in order that the Code Authority may -tdvise the
 industry this stay has been a ctd upon in the r:.aular manner. T Ie
