support, but more for little luxuries for the older chilc'.r of t'he
family. The majority of these people are of t' e C-reek ort: cdox faith,
.nd their morals are very hig in view of the fact that the -rents
supervise their children very carefully. They are V.rried between t.e
ages :f sixteen and eighteen .e,'-rs. The entire colony is 7. ro.lica
of a small corm-rjunity from 3rc-cc into the Tnited Sta.tes.

After interviewing, each- n. every ovmer of t'.ose factories, I called
Smrneetin" which was held at the St. :Ticholks ictel. An Association
was formed under the name of r.vBr':ill Bag I.-nufrcturers. T.ey .L-rced
to imnmedi,.tely. systemartize their business and have the same women do
th.e work in the factories.

I h-ve formnulated plans whereby they could increase their pr-duction
and not ieprive anyone of a livelihood; in fact increase a crc-.t deal
of the earnings of the people without -additional burdens to themselves.
They have .agreed. to cooperate to the full extent with the Code Auth-
ority, -and pro,.iised to live up to the letter of the law.

It is rmy opinion that some Uood constructive vc.rk has been c.cc.,.rlished

I expect to make another visit to see if the changes t...t were pr..iised
had been put into effect.
