The term tdcsig1! as used herein, signifies designs artistic or ornamental ani& not fuixctimnal or mechanical. :To member :.f the industry shall imitate or copy, or cause to be imitoated or cpied, any design original in its aplication to any product of the industry, without the consent of the owner thereof, if: (a) A drawing, photograph or model of saidC design ;.as been registered with a (isinterested and inmirtial a, iency to be designated b the Code Authority with the ap"'tr:.val of the Administrator. In registering such design, the reEistrant shall indicate clearly the par- ticular or particulars in which such design is ori, Ini.l i its application to any product of the i:..u.try, shall, in addCition, submit a sworn statement in v.',iic ', he certifies that to the best of his Tk-owledje and belief, such design is in fact original as aforesaid, and shall .-c-cify the date of conception of such design.
