John Wickham, nonermployee, taken sick April 28, admitted to Colon Hospital April 28. Recovered. SANITARY WORK, COLON AND CRISTOBAL. The work in Colon and Cristobal has been steadily pushed, and every effort is being made to get the town in good sanitary condition before the outset of the rainy season. Rapid progress has been made in street cleaning and draining, and large amounts of trash have been cut and burned. One thousand seven hundred and forty-nine loads of garbage have been removed, and 120 loads of niglt soil. The slaughterhouse was visited nine times for purpose of examining cattle and hogs. Seventy-six indigent sick were visited, and 12 post-mortem examinations were made. WORK DONE DURING THE MONTH.
